The Spacetourer scored maximum points for its protection of the 1½ year dummy in the full scale crash tests. In the frontal test, forward movement of the 3 year dummy, sat in a forward-facing restraint, was not excessive and protection was good apart from marginally raised neck tension. In the side barrier impact, both dummies were properly contained within the protective shells of their restraints, minimising the likelihood of head contact with parts of the vehicle interior. The front passenger airbag can be disabled to allow a rearward-facing restraint to be used in that seating position. Clear information is provided to the driver regarding the status of the airbag and the system was rewarded.

The bumper scored maximum points for its protection of pedestrians' legs. Euro NCAP does not perform tests to the front edge of the bonnet for vehicles in this category. The protection offered to the head of a struck pedestrian was mixed, with test results ranging from good to poor.

The passenger compartment remained stable in the frontal impact. Dummy readings indicated good protection of the knees and femurs of the driver and passenger. Citroën showed that a similar level of safety would be available to occupants of different sizes and to those sat in different positions. Currently, the full width rigid barrier test is not done on vehicles in the Business and Family Van category. In the side barrier test, the Spacetourer scored maximum points, with good protection of all body areas. In the more severe side pole impact, dummy readings of rib compression indicated marginal chest protection but the protection of other body areas was rated as good. A geometric assessment indicated good whiplash protection for the front seat occupants but poor whiplash protection for those in the rear.
